Position Title: Donor Relations Officer (part-time)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Donor Relations Officer to join our team as a paid contractor. The Donor Relations Officer will play a crucial role in maintaining and nurturing donor relationships, securing long-term support, and contributing to the financial sustainability of the Punjabi Market Collective. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a passion for community development.

Responsibilities
Alignment with Goals: Collaborate with the Punjabi Market Collective (PMC) board to understand and define short-term and long-term objectives. Develop and execute a strategic fundraising plan that aligns with these goals and effectively supports the organization's mission.
Donor Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective donors, ensuring they are engaged and informed about the impact of their contributions.
Fundraising Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising plans, setting and achieving fundraising targets to support the organization's goals.
Campaign Management: Plan and execute fundraising campaigns, including annual giving programs, capital campaigns, and special events.
Stewardship: Ensure donors are properly thanked and recognized, organizing donor appreciation events and other engagement activities.
Database Management: Maintain accurate donor records and manage the donor database, ensuring timely and personalized donor communications.
Financial Planning: Work with the Treasurer to develop and monitor the fundraising budget, ensuring cost-effective fundraising activities.
Qualifications
Ability to speak fluently in both English and Punjabi.
Proven experience in fundraising, donor relations, or a similar role in the non-profit sector.
Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire donors.
Strategic thinking and the ability to develop and implement effective fundraising plans.
Proficiency in using donor management systems and databases.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and time management skills.
Passion for community development and the mission of the Punjabi Market Collective.
